Pit of Despair
This was a fun half a day hackathon that UIT held on Halloween. It gave me the opportunity to work with a classmate, Seonaid Lee. Seonaid has a background in physics, engineering and old school programming so it was very interesting to work with her. I was definitely intimidated as this was still in my early days, and I was not comfortable with developing. We created a choose your own adventure type of game where you had a series of choices, one path led you to "safety" and the other to "death". As Seonaid worked out logic in binary, I searched the net for cool haunted pictures. Looking back on it, we definitely made things significantly more complicated than we needed to, and the transitions between pages were less than smooth. It is clunky and awkward but definitely fun to see the difference between now and then.
